Roof first, then walls
The roof is torn off, decking repaired, and the new roof system installed, including the flashing at the roof-to-wall line. Siding tear-off and sheathing repair follow.

Siding, trim, cleanup and walkthrough
Weather barrier, new siding and trim go on, tied into the roof flashing already in place. We clear the site and walk the finished exterior with you.

Why the flashing is the real reason to combine them
The roof and the siding meet at the same details: the roof-to-wall transition, the step flashing along a dormer, the kickout flashing at a roofline that ends into a wall. Do the roof alone and that flashing gets tucked under whatever siding is already there. Do them together and it gets built once, correctly, with the new siding lapped over it the way it is supposed to work.

Do you have to do both at once?
No. Combining them is a recommendation when both genuinely need it, not a package we push on every job.
